Gnomes from BAUMANN Czech
26.06.2024.
Our branch in Karviná, Czech Republic held a holiday contest for the best hand-made Christmas Gnome and to be honest, we were left speechless with their submissions. Granted, some of them might haunt us in sleep, but nevertheless, such creativity and skill! Great job everyone!
Decorating with gnomes during holidays is derived from Scandinavia, where the tradition can be traced back to as early as the eighteenth century. The gnomes were thought to come out on Christmas Day, spreading cheer, Christmas spirit and hand-delivering gifts to families.
And as gnomes in general usually symbolize good luck and they are believed to keep an eye on stock and provide protection to homes and families, it seems like #BAUMANN in Karviná is up to a very good next year!
A big thank you goes to everyone who helped organized this lovely event and to all 160 colleagues who participated and enjoyed time together!
